3 Things Thursday

1. My workouts yesterday were a sandwich of sessions with coworkers. In the morning I met up with a current coworker at the gym for some killer core work and in the evening I met up with a former coworker for a run with some core/strength thrown into the middle. Apparently my former coworker’s normal routine involves running to the Lincoln Memorial and then utilizing the monument to do some stair work/core/dips/etc. It was a fun way to break up the run and positively gorgeous at sunset.
2. I have been a morning workout champion this week. I managed to pull myself out of bed every day to get my ass to the pool, gym or out on the road. AND I’ve been a doubles champ and pulled off two-a-days most days this week. I’m still riding high off my Boston Excitement and using it to fuel the start of tri-season and my next marathon training cycle.
3. I am well aware that I still owe a Boston recap…and it’s coming. I’m clinging onto it as the last remaining thing from my virgin Boston experience. The race is over. Celebration done. I’m back from New England. I’m unpacked. My new gear is hanging in my closet. And all I have left to wrap up my First Boston is the recap. Just like your first marathon…you can have many other amazing ones, but you’ll never have another first marathon…and I will never again have my FIRST Boston. Sigh.
